Yerba Buena shows off its core mechanics and unveils its free demo at the Galaxies Showcase!

Focus Entertainment and Mad About Pandas are excited to share new gameplay details for their upcoming Puzzle-Platformer Yerba Buena, releasing May 26 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam). Learn about the game’s core mechanics and its unique Copy and Paste feature in today’s Overview Trailer, which premiered at the Galaxies Showcase.

Manipulate the gameworld with Copy and Paste

Yerba Buena lets you play as Barb, a young woman living as an NPC in an abandoned video game production, and dares you to save your beloved San Francisco by solving ingenious platforming puzzles with the Oscillator and an original Copy and Paste mechanic. Simply copy the desired behavior, and stick it onto your target!

Copy a car’s left-to-right movement, and paste it onto a housing block to have it cross the street left to right. Copy a trampoline’s bounce, and apply it to concrete to make it bouncy, or capture gas coming out of a broken pipe to turn solid walls into thin air! Properties can even be stacked on top of one another, so feel free to experiment! You’re always free to reset your actions if you change your mind. Use the Oscillator to scan your surroundings and identify what properties may be copied, and find a way to get to the next platform!
